Blood on His Little Fingers
During the COVID pandemic, did you take the Poisoner in Chief’s advice and inject bleach in your arm to kill the virus, or did you just drink the bleach? Or did some friend or family member try this Trumpian miracle cure? Hopefully, the smell of chlorine and snake oil was strong enough to warn you and your loved ones off.
Or did they die because they believed disinfecting sunlight would do the job? Or because he claimed it would be gone by Easter? Or because he bad-mouthed masks? Or because he got COVID himself and lived, so how bad could it be-though he almost actually didn’t live, not because he ingested bleach, but because he received the best possible treatment instead?
Or did your loved one die because Trump repeatedly ignored or attacked Dr. Fauci? Or did they end up in a temporary tractor trailer morgue because of one of the other many ways in which the Orange Fraud Felon Assaulting Liar liead about the disease, fumbled the federal response to the crisis through incompetence, and undermined it outright through maliciousness?
An estimated 4,000 to 12,000 people died of COVID by the end of 2020 alone because of his pronouncements about masks alone. According to The Washington Post, tens of thousands of preventable deaths occurred during Trump’s presidency. Tens of thousands more probably died after he left office because people still believed his COVID crap.
These were deaths that he could have helped to prevent if he didn’t believe that the pandemic was was going to undermine his presidency. Turns out he was right. But he could have prevented that, as well, by trusting the scientists instead of his own self-absorbed hindbrain.
The man has blood on his hands.
